About this test
Practice for the CDL general knowledge test with original questions written from the Texas Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers Handbook (DL-7C, revised March 2026), which follows the national AAMVA model CDL manual used by most states. Every correct answer is backed by a passage of the handbook and checked by two independent verifiers.
- Study: every question with a short explanation.
- Topic drills: vehicle inspection, basic control and shifting, seeing, space and speed, hazards, emergencies and night driving, cargo and fitness to drive.
- Mock test: not offered, because the handbook states the 80% pass mark but not the number of questions.
The questions are written in our own words in English and Spanish; this is not any state's question bank. State-specific rules (such as Texas commercial rules) and endorsement tests are not covered.
