Is Ohm's law on the ham radio Technician exam?

Yes.

The 2026-2030 Technician Class FCC Element 2 Question Pool (in use July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2030) gives Ohm's law its own group, T5D, with 14 questions. Each exam takes one question from each of the pool's groups, so every exam has 1 question on the topic, out of 35 (26 correct to pass).

What you need to know

Ohm's law ties together the three basic quantities of a circuit: voltage (E, in volts), current (I, in amperes) and resistance (R, in ohms). Voltage equals current times resistance, so if you know any two you can find the third: current is voltage divided by resistance, and resistance is voltage divided by current.

The exam questions are mostly arithmetic with round numbers, such as finding the current through a resistor connected across a given voltage. The same group also asks about series and parallel circuits: in a series circuit the same current flows through every component, and in a parallel circuit every component has the same voltage across it.
